Green Space Miami: Unveiling Power: Examining Influence
Through a year-round program of shows and events, Green Space Miami elevates the artworks, ideas, and stories of artists from the diverse, multilingual, and multicultural communities of Miami-Dade County.
The artists in this group exhibition, Unveiling Power: Examining Influence, were selected by the Green Space advisory board in response to the title and prompt drafted by curator Donnamarie Baptiste.
In her prompt, Baptiste states:
For the fourth edition of Green Space Miami’s open call, artists are encouraged to delve into myriad dimensions of power, unravel its intricacies, question its structures, challenge its assumptions, or celebrate its potential for transformative change. The aim is to inspire a deeper understanding of this fundamental aspect of the human condition and provoke new insights into the complexities of power.
Who: Current Key Holder resident Ọmọlará Williams McCallister is one of ten recipients of the 2024 Green Space Miami Open Call Award, all of whom are featured in this exhibition.
