Private Instruction: Bookbinding
Class Length: 4 Hours
Up to 4 participants welcome
Together with the assistance of an IS Projects collaborator, participants with any level of experience will be guided through the process of binding books by hand. We have four bookbinding courses available for quick checkout, and other more complex bindings available by request.
Ready-to-schedule bookbinding courses:
Simple Bindings: X-Book, Pamphlet Stitch, Japanese Stab Binding
Japanese Stab Binding: Four Hole pattern and Hemp Leaf Pattern
Drum Leaf Binding
Longstitch Binding
Scheduling: We are a small and busy team, but we are as flexible as we can be! We typically schedule Private Instruction during our 11AM-7PM business hours, Tuesday-Friday. Weekend and after-hours appointments can sometimes be arranged, though.
It is easiest to accommodate requests with at least 2 weeks advanced notice, but we can sometimes make it work short notice. After receiving your order, we will reach out to you via email to schedule your workshop.
If you have very specific scheduling needs which will determine whether or not this will work for you, please feel free to reach out to brooke@isprojectsfl.com to confirm that we can meet them. Examples of such needs would be: Short notice scheduling, a swiftly approaching deadline, planning the workshop to occur on one specific date like a birthday.
